Wasteful Maziya held to a goalless draw

Male', MALDIVES - Maziya Sports and Recreation Club were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw against Foakaidhoo Football Club in their Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League on Saturday.

Maziya were in high hopes after a record of the biggest win in the history of Premier League against Nilandhoo last week. Maziya won their last game by 13-0 against Nilandhoo.

Maziya started the game well and dominated the game for most of the time but they managed to created just one goal scoring chance in the first half of the match. Ibrahim Mahudhee's attempt in the first half went over the bar.

In the last 20 minutes of the game Maziya created very open chances to score however, Foakaidhoo goalkeeper, Hanif Saqib made superb saves to confirmed them a point against the heavy weights.

In the additional time, Ali Shamis, who was the man of the match missed a golden opportunity to break the deadlock. Shamis beat two defenders of Maziya and shot it wide and few minutes before Ansar Ibrahim's attempt on target was blocked by Maziya defender.
