Male', MALDIVES - Chinese Football Association (CFA) officially announce the remaining matches of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying AFC 2nd Round Group A are relocated from Suzhou, China to Dubai.
The decision was made after the discussion held with the government of China and the Chinese Football Federation regarding the entry of the Maldives, Syria and the Philippines into China when some players of these three teams got positive in their latest Covid-19 tests before their departure to China.
It is very likely that the match between China and Maldives, scheduled for June 3, 2021 will be postponed as there is not enough time for China to travel to Dubai and prepare for the match within the next two days.
China won against Guam by 7-0 yesterday in their first match after the restart of the remaining matches.
Maldives lies of fourth position of the table with six points. Syria lies on top of the table with 15 points from five games. China got 10 points from four games while Philippines lies on third position with 7 points from five games. Guam lies on the bottom of the table without any point from five games.
