Male', MALDIVES - Dhivehi Premier League champions TC Sports Club coach Mohamed Athif and Victory Sports Club's coach Mohamed Adam resigns from their posts.
Speaking to Maldivesfootball.com tonight, Mohamed Adam said the players are refusing to join the practice sessions due to the unpaid salaries.
"5 players are with the Under 19 national team and some didn't even join the practices due to unpaid salaries. So, I am not very sure that we can have at least 11 players when the league resumes few days later." Said coach Mohamed Adam.
In his resignation letter sent to the club, it said that during these days the club did't fulfill any promise they did when he was appointed and even didn't pay the food allowance to the players.
Maldivesfootball.com got a copy of TC coach Mohamed Athif's resignation letter and it said that he has tried many times to meet with the senior management of the club to discuss with some issues raised by the players and he wasn't been able to meet with the senior management. And that leads to a poor performance from the team.
Athif also mentioned that he didn't get the wages as per the contract and gave a 15 days notice to the club to terminate it as per the clause 6 of the contract.
TC Sports Club lies on fourth position of the table with 12 points from 7 games.
