Male', Maldives - Club Eagles beat Nilandhoo by 5-1 in today's Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League. Ahmed Rizuvan scored a hat-trick and a brace from Ali Fasir was enough to get three points against Nilandhoo.
Nilandhoo started the game with the same team when they were beaten by Maziya with the biggest defeat in the history of Dhivehi Premier League.
Eagles started the match with an attacking approach and got various opportunities to score goals.
Ali Fasir broke the deadlock after 13 minutes into the game from a descent volley inside the box.
Ahmed RIzuvan missed a golden opportunity to double the lead in the 28th minute from a descent shot, which was blocked by keeper Ziyazan. Few minutes later, Rizuvan missed another good chance to change the score.
Rizuvan doubled the lead for Eagles after 37 minutes from a penalty kick when referee awarded them a spot kick for foul on Sifaau.
Eagles missed a wonderful chance to change the score in the last minute of the first half. Fasir tested keeper Ziyazan from a descent strike inside the box.
Rizuvan changed the score to 3-0 from a descent strike inside the box. His shot went straight to the top corner of the net.
In the 64th Minute Rizuvan missed a golden opportunity to increase the lead. He was unmarked inside the box when Fasir pass the ball but shot it wide.
A minute later, Rizuvan changed the score to 4-0 after picking a pass from Fasir and shot it into the bottom corner of the net.
Nilandhoo's only goal came from Ahmed Usam after 81 minutes from a diving header inside the six yard box.
Ali Fasir scored the final goal in the additional goal and changed the score to 5-1. He penetrated the defense line of Nilandhoo and beat keeper ZIyazan to put it into an empty net.
Maziya will play against Foakaidhoo tonight at 2100 hours.
